Finally our 48 years of partnership ends on 23rd March 2020. I lost my grandfather “Bhaisa” at the age of 111. His unstoppable heart stopped beating around 2pm without any pain. A wonderful end for a true gentlemen. My hero, my guidance left me alone. He lived a good very long life.
I spent whole my childhood with Bhaisa and Ji until I left India for Paris at the age of 15. My grandparents were my rock, while my parents were abroad working they looked after me and my sisters. They played a huge role in raising us and influenced our life in such a profound way. They have shown me what it means to live a life of fun, kindness, and generosity. I still remember going with Bhaisa in Navsari bazaar to eat Bhajia and some time with Burfi and also watching Gujarati film in Vasant talkie.

In 1986, we left Bhaisa and Ji to join our parents in France. However our respect and love doesn’t disappear and became more and stronger with the distance. First by post letter then by phone, we stay in contact. I achieve their dream of becoming engineer and they were always there when I need their support and love. I lost my Ji x years before but even today i can't left my house without taking her blessing.

I visited regularly India and each time I was excited to see my Bhaisa, meeting Bhaisa on arrival was the best moment of my trip and the worst was when I have to come back. Each time I was thinking it was last time because I could see him growing older and older. I was lucky to meet him twice in last 6 months. The last time, I saw him two months ago. Thank’s to Pratik who send us a video of Bhaisa taking his tea and two hours later, he left us suddenly.

Love leaves an imprint in our hearts that never fades, even after such a long long time, that’s true.
He was our inspiration, our life,… thank you for being our hero, someone to lean on, and our best friend.
We will miss you Bhaisa for the rest of our life. He meant the world to us and we would do anything for him.We pray Ma Gayatri (my grandparents taught us who she is) that his soul rest in peace.
