Salle Venise | Sarcelles | France

Ramkatha
Shri Morari Bapu

from 17th to 25th Aug 2019

About Morari Bapu

A world renowned spiritual leader

Born on the day of Shivratri in 1947, Morari Bapu, reverantly and affectionately known as ‘Bapu’, lives a simple and humble life in the village of Talgajarda, close to Mahuva in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat. It is his listeners, rather than he, who speak of his achievements, perhaps most powerfully evidenced in the positive transformation of their own lives.

Bapu has a single ambition to spread a message of Truth, Love and Compassion.

Remarkably Bapu had memorised the scriptures by the time he was twelve. Two years later, his first recital, known as “katha’, was attended by three villagers in his home town in Gujarat, India in 1960. Since Bapu has now spoken to millions at over 800 kathas in every major city in India and more then 31 countries around the world, including the United States, Vatican City, Jerusalem, Abu Dhabi, Japan, Switzerland, Sri-Lanka and in the foothills of Mount Kailas in Tibet.

Ramkatha - Paris - France

Morari Bapu bases his Katha on the scriptures of Goswami Tulsidas' Sri Ramcharithmanas bringing to life not only the magnificent poetry but also the truths and fundamental principles encapsulated in this divine story to communicate his central principle of Truth, Love and Compassion.  He makes the teachings of Ramayana relevant to the modern society and living and also draws parallels to other Hindu epics and puranas as well as great works of other religions and philosophies to drive home the universal message of Ramayana.
